Hadith on Justice: No burden of sin is upon the child of adultery

Aisha reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessing be upon him, said, “There is no burden upon the child of adultery for the sins of his parents.” Then the Prophet recited the verse, “No soul shall bear the burdens of another.” (6:164)

Ibn Taymiyyah said, “If the child of adultery believes and does righteous deeds, he will enter Paradise and he will be rewarded for his deeds just as others are rewarded, for the reward is due to deeds and not lineage. The child of adultery is only blamed because it is assumed he will do evil deeds as happens often, just as one with noble lineage is praised because it is assumed he will do good deeds. But if the child of adultery does good deeds, then he will be rewarded for them as the most noble in the sight of Allah is the most righteous.”
